Lots of cameras, lots of locations, shoulda just put them all here.

So there was that question about a second cub, and the bear with (without) mange - there is a bear with two cubs here, but there is also a bear with just one. For a total of 6 known individuals (including Dad). Two cougar shots (same cougar, two nights), gray fox, some deer, and..AND....

somebody who should really not be here (forgot to read the literature on suitable habitat), B. Astutus.

YaaaaayyyyyyyyYY!!!!!

I shall now retire.

I like how, in the first video, the cub twice focuses on something and holds a front paw up like my dog does when she is ready to pounce on a gopher.

Yeah - I've never seen a bear do that before!

I have named the big male "Don't Mess With Texas". He appears less huggable.

CM, this is excellent ringtail habitat. B. astutus exploits a wide range of habitats. Isn't this your second ringtail caught on camera? Love these critters!

Thanks for the videos!

I thought they were purely rocky cliff/streamside animals! They are really great animals. This is my third - the second was a grainy, dark shot of one in Eaton Canyon. Thanks for watching!

By the way, this whole place is packed with manzanita berries right now - and from the "evidence", it is everyone's favorite food.

This is Harvey at Cabin #1 in Big Santa Anita Canyon. He likes grapes.
