On my way to Ontario and Bighorn Peaks today I stopped by to check the flow rate of the spring. It's flowing approx. a liter a minute.

It was a great day for bagging some peaks. The weather was almost perfect, 64f on both peaks with very light winds. I was lucky enough to see lots deer today too. Some in Kelly Camp and some near the top of Bighorn.

On my way back down Bighorn I some how got off trail and ended up going cross country back to Kelly Camp. It was good though because I made it back to the camp in record time.

Cool! Thanks for the photos.

Are there two pipes still or is there only one pipe now?

There is only one pipe now. See photo:

The new (PVC pipe) spring is in the small circle of rocks on the extreme left edge of the picture. The old, smaller galvanized pipe on the old (defunct) spring is now buried directly under that fallen tree on the right. The dead tree fell since we were there in the summer of 2010.

Stopped by Kelly Camp this morning and tanked up. It took 4:05 to get 3 liters, so the current flow rate is roughly 3/4 liter per minute. Tasty, too! :D
