Little Jimmy on 6/19/2011
Sorry for the delay in getting this TR up. Little Jimmy was awesome. Wife, Daughter and I hiked in on Saturday night just at sunset. The views were really pretty as the sun was going down. I like hiking in at night because there are no crowds and the temps stay nice. We just camped for one night and then hiked up to windy gap in the morning. We would have went to Islip summit but we had fathers day festivities to go to. This Trip was a new gear shakedown trip for a yosemite trip we would do later in the summer. The wind was howling all night long but we were very protected in the LJ campground, the tent hardly flapped. No mosquitoes or other bugs to speak of. The spring was flowing nicely. All in all a good quick overnighter.
