6.29.11 - cucamonga peak

finally got out to cuc for the first time. i dont know why it took so long, but it was worth it. what a fun hike! but holy crap, the wind was howling at 40-50mph in parts! i thought that wasn't supposed to happen in the summer? craziness.

anyone know what those caves are? old mines?

I link from Picassa and there is an option when embedding the link to SGMDF (see photo below).
As for the caves I climbed up there and they are little more than divots in the hillside, if they were mines they have since been filled in. Kind of cool looking from below though.

Aye, the 'different size' option on the site.
The way I do it is I resize my photos to 30% their original size, often resulting in an image about 640x480 pixels. When uploaded, this takes up less space and is always an acceptable size for pretty much anyone's monitor.

Isn't Cucamonga nice?
I believe the holes are mines. There are some of copper mines in the area but I am not sure if these are them... The lower one isn't very deep I never climbed up to look into the upper one.
