hiker went over edge on baden powell sunday 9:45 am

news reported that on sunday 9 am police received a report of a hiker who went over the edge on the ridge on baden powell.
I think this was a PCT through hiker.
anyone else read anything about this?
thats a drop off, on the eastern side, of several thousand feet.
