Not quite a TR I guess, but I'm bored so I'll post.

Went for an afternoon ride through Walnut, a nice city near me.

Start of the trail. The bike is a Mongoose Rockadile (lol) that my buddy gave me. It needs a bit of TLC... I did manage to record a downhill time of 6:42 or something on the timed section. I basically don't have brakes. The rear brake doesn't really work, and the front is at 50% or so, which compared to a modern hydro disc brake on a good MTB is more like 15%.

The start of the downhill. I rode this trail a couple weeks ago. In those two weeks or so, the Mustard and weeds have grown significantly, so I was unable to actually see the trail, thus resulting in me speed-bushwhacking downhill without good brakes. Fun.

Mustard!

Nice Walnut groves

WTF vine is this? Note strange fruit.

Total of about 12 miles. Started raining at the end, and I snapped this pic:

Whoa! Target is at the end of the rainbow? How much did they have to pay the leprechauns for that?

It's fun to drift those turns, when you have brakes! Otherwise you just kinda drift in and then understeer over the side into a cactus in a rather undignified manner.
