Phil (lik2hik) and I did a quick run up Timber Mtn after work yesterday, in case anyone's interested in conditions. The temps were balmy, dropping only to 43 after the sun went down, and there wasn't even a hint of a breeze. We'd brought microspikes, but only used them for part of the way down in the dark.

Two stoves and three pots -- on a day hike after work? You guys obviously know how to eat.

"Amnesia" IPA? Is that for when the cooking goes bad? Oh, no wait, it says "San G Scout Trip Only" on the fuel canister. The "Amnesia" occurred when you raided the Boy Scouts for gas.

Nice pix, guys.

Very nice. THere's nothing better than firing up the stoves in the woods and tossing back a little brew.

I think I enjoy it less when I'm up high, though. Food just seems less appealing when you're a little naseous from the hike/thin air/etc.
