Everything but Goldilocks

Three different individuals here. Also, I found out the name of the noxious weed covering the cub (and responsible for ruining one of my favorite shirts): the "spotted hideseed", or Eucrypta Chrysanthemifolia.
Sorry - keeping to the usual secrecy about location, at least until hunting season is over. It's a front range canyon though.
Bears are very curious, and have a reputation for destroying trail cameras. I haven't had many bears notice the camera. One swatted one around in the Arroyo Seco a couple years ago, but didn't damage it. This guy gave it a sniff, but then walked away, so I lucked out again!

Cool. Thanks.
How many cameras have you lost or had damaged out there?

Dang...no cat. Nice healthy looking bears though.

Just two in the last few years - one kicked and broken by pot smugglers, and one burned in the Station Fire.
Had plenty of friendly "hello" waves from hikers, too.

Great work as always.
All that eucrypta chrysanthemifolia on the little one looks itchy.

I had one FLASH me at sunset up in Afton canyon last winter. It kept taking pictures for a while, judging by the flashes.
I'm sure whoever planted it got some great, "What the hell" shots of me investigating the camera. I should have held up a business card to the lens or something.

I think they should call it
(Dr. Jekyll and) Mr Hyde seed. That stuff is destructive!

I like the segment where the bear investigated the camera.
Was the camera suspended on a tree?
