Headed up to Mt Tyndall with a friend and to meet some friends. Beautiful hike, beautiful trail, and awesome 2,000 feet of Class III+ exposed slab climbing.
Here's the pics:
Breakfast of Champeens:
Nice canyon heading up:
A few river crossings early in the hike makes us think this will be nice:
After gaining this saddle, we were dissapointed to see we had to lose about 1,600 feet of elevation before heading back up again. F#@!
Getting Close to Anvil and the Pothole:
A friend near Anvil:
Another friend:
Cleaning up and cooling down before heading up the last steep section before Shepard's Pass:
Shaprd's Pass 12,010 ft
Still goofing off. Can't tear an achillies standing on your head:
Self portrait before headng up:
Mt Tyndall. Our route far left slabs:
There were some exposed sections. Like 1,500 feet of exposed section:
On the Summit. Mt Tyndall 14,018 ft
Tanning at 14,000ft with 2,000 feet of air between me and heart shaped lake:
Heading home:
Here's a few flower shots for you nature lovers:
