Sounds like a wetsuit will fix the issue. Example below

I'm just making excuses as to why I don't want to be incredibly cold and wet anymore.

I am making a list of a ton of canyons I want to explore, most of which are around San Gabriel Canyon. I should make some sort of map thing to show the various canyons. Working on that at the moment.
