Animal Tracks?

During a trip to Sespe Creek this weekend, I encountered lots of interesting features in the mud.
Can anyone help me identify the animal (or physical process) that made these?
I believe there are actually two distinct features in the photo...
1) The smoothly undulating channel immediately alongside the water. These were more often underwater than above as shown in the photo. Maybe some sort of worm?
2) The vein-like raised ridges. Perhaps some sort of burrowing insect? Or is this just part of the drying process?
