Hopefully no one was hit by any boulders doing any of the chutes/couliers on any of the mountains today that earthquake must have knock loose some serious boulders on some of the ridgeline?

Anyone hear of anything?

Just 20 seconds of gental rolling here in Oak Hills. I know a ton of places I'm glad I wasn't...like below Galena Paek. I remember once when with Desert Rescue Squad we were asked to rescue a person in a cave in the Mecca Hills/Painted Canyon area because RMRU wouldn't go under ground. I had to crawl on my hands and knees to find the person but what was interesting was a 4.9 quake on the nearby San Andreas that morning gave me the willies.

I was on my MTB heading to a S'bucks a block from my house. I felt nothing but, when I arrived people were still yakking about the "40 second roller" that had just been through. Weird. How did I not feel that one?

6.9 is a heck of a quake. Glad it hit a place that isn't a major city.

I felt it real good for about 30-40 seconds - no damage for us.

As much as we don't think so, Mexicali is a major city. The city has a million people, more or less. That'd make it #3 in CA.

Didn't notice it was close to that. I thought it was much further south.

To be honest, I just hope these earthquakes are making our mountains taller.

Mexicali is 24 klicks from the epicenter =~15 miles ( I know Taco knows that ) = right the f*** on top of it for a 7.2

It didn't seem that big last time I rolled through in 2004. I didn't think it had more than 15k or so people.

Calexico is in the US and about 25k people from what the news said.
Mexicali is in Mexico and wikipedia has this

my family and I were inside Omaha Jack's Steakhouse and Brewery on Route 66 in Rancho Cucamonga when it hit - this is what was above our heads :p All of the overhead sculptural stuff was moving and all the light fixtures were swaying. A very long rolling quake...
