SAN FRANCISCO – A popular California outdoors writer was free on bail after authorities said Friday they found a large marijuana growing operation in his barn in the town of Weed.

It's pretty easy to get a medical marijuana prescription, and some suppliers will deliver to your door. Marijuana is more or less legal to consume in California for all intents and purposes.

Growing it still seems to be problematic. I guess everyone would be happier if medical marijuana was purchased from violent Mexican drug cartels.

That's a bit of a straw-man, don't you think? If you think it will be roses when pot is leglized, I think you are mistaken (Copenhagen). Do we really want to depend on tax revenue from the sale of Pot? Be careful what you wish for IMHO. I hope I did'nt open up a can of worms. :wink:
