Something interesting, if slightly old. SVI Tiki-T. I love the sights, melted edges, and the fact that it's made of Titanium. Good CCW perhaps. Never had the chance to try one.

Sold my Glock a few years ago. Need to buy another one for, um, business purposes. I don't really like them much.

Actually, I am much less enamored of handguns than I once was. I am quite fond of Soviet (and pre-Soviet) designed small arms, tho. I have seven Mosin-Nagants and five SKSes.

To be honest I am more interested in the self defense training with firearms then in just the pure sporting aspect of shooting. I try to hit the range to stay sharp with skills but I really want to get more into stuff that is taught by the "Systema" guys:

Nice collection you have there ... Are you in the firearm business or just an avid collector?

I am trying to find an East German or Russian made Makarov -- they are great, reliable and hold a sentimental value to me ...

Without picking apart Deadliest Warrior, it's just another show trying to compare apples and oranges. US Army Special Forces are primarilly a force multiplier... anyway, I'll stop while I'm ahead.

I'm also more interested in the defensive/"tactical" aspect of firearms than procuring them for other values, such as collecting.

I bought mine when I thought I was going to get a CCW. Compact little beasts.

But mostly I just love the idea of spending $150 on a high quality handgun. Same with that CZ52.

My personal favorite is the Bisley. Free-floating cylinder, 1/4# action and a pleasure to shoot out to 25 yds. The Bisley-style grip on the Ruger fits my hand perfectly. Very easy to run a couple of boxes of .357 with no hand probs.

I haven't been to a range in over a year. Don't like shooting indoors. Eh.

Ruger FTW. I'd take a Ruger wheelgun over an S&W anyday... unless it was a performance center...

I felt obligated to respond, because there are probably about 3 people on here who shoot on a regular basis.

off topic sorta but, we're planning a trip to Wyoming and relative there said bring the bear spray but not the gun. Seems that grizzlies around that area in late fall/big eating time, are actually attracted to gunshots - thinking they can poach a deer or elk. Mess with one and you might get up close/personal with it's friends too.

Carrying around a .45/70, 12 Gauge, or equivalent would be a pain on a multi-day hike with lots of mileage/elevation gain. You don't realize how cumbersome and heavy a rifle is until you carry one up steep terrain for a few miles. Having to un-sling the firearm and then get a good shot in a hurry & under stress...

I'd rather carry bear spray

New place has a bit of a skunk problem - Police-folks sayz I can't handle it with the .40, so I picked up one of these.
