CMC-OC and I did an overnight on the summit of Sugarloaf, then hiked up to Ontario in the morning, descending Lost Creek (canyon).

Lost Creek 'requires' 3 rappels, two sub-50ft, one 100ft. We downclimbed the first two, but it would be far better to rapp' em.

It was INCREDIBLY windy on the summit. Nearly tore my tent down.

From Kellys Camp, we headed north along Shortcut Ridge, then dropped west into Lost Creek.

Nice TR Taco, great photos, nice overnighter, I see you still have the humor with the Astro - "Nut" pancake man, niceeeeeeeee :D

Hope we get more of that white stuff soon - we need it, especially in the burn areas, it's less likely to turn into mud and slide if we can get enough of it?

I'll put up some photos soon, Taco on the summit block of Ontario and down-climbing one of those rapells.

Nice photos. Falling Rock Canyon must have been joyful in the dark.

Incidentally, there was a group of about thirty Asians hiking up Icehouse Canyon on Friday too.

The Free Man...

FRC wasn't bad in the dark, except for some of the routefinding.
