When on a quick hike with Augie and Tom today (1/6/8). It was wet, foggy and cold. No views at all. It snowed a bit too. But an enjoyable day peakbagging. Made it home by 2:30 pm so the wife was happy.

Here are pictures, GPS tracks and Google Map.

Looked like a nice day out, very un-socal-ish looking!

So now that the HPS is completed, what's the next goal?

Doing HPS barefoot-backwards, with a sombrero. 8)

Travis,

I come to the defense of your newly acquired shameless peak-bagging addiction. Just tell them how tough our ascent of Liebre was and you'll never be kidded about peak-bagging again.

Seriously, it was a nice outing despite no views. And Sawtooth was a nice little workout in both directions.

Wot's wrong with peak-bagging?

Some people really need to get a life.

There are some, although I don't think any on this board, who view peak bagging negatively. Their views are that peak bagging is akin to conquering peaks and climbing them for the wrong reasons. But I agree that I think peak bagging has to be one of the healthiest obsessions out there, much better than my ones :) I climb for all the right reasons, as do all of us.

Some folks just get their panties in a bunch over it. I don't see anything wrong with getting to know the lay of the land, and seeing as much as ya can.
