Who knew? Hiking in Kansas!
The Prairie Spirit Trail is a rail trail routed along an old railroad right of way. One way mileage is 51 miles (total elevation gain approximately 4.5 feet
). I completed about 100 feet today. Will have to come back to finish the rest.

Try not to hit all the peaks in one day and only due 35 of the 51 miles so you have something else to do the next day.
Remember "You're not in Kansas anymore Toto"!
Welcome back from "Flatland".
By the way, what's the highest spot in Kansas?
Do you have to climb a "corn stock" to see it?
Did you put the money in the envelope, if you didn't, don't anyone tell "F$ck Off" from USC.

The highest point in Kansas is Mt. Sunflower. A daring expedition was launched in 1998 to ascend the Northeast Face. They nearly lost a man at the treacherous Fencepost Traverse. Find out how it ends here!

That's halarious Tim, I thought you were going to post a picture of a "Cow Patty" as the highest spot, but that trip report was even better.
Now those folks know how to post a trip report, that fence must have been one hell of a challenge.

Did you need to acclimatize at all? And who maintains the trail out there? Looks like it could use some work.

I did drive by this towering
peak in the middle of farmland. Over 100 feet of prominence!

Class 5, I assume? How bad were the crevasses? Did you have any problems with whiteout conditions? Was the bergeshrund easy to cross?
Hope things went OK with your Sherpas,

Billy Bob Sherpa made it but we lost Joe Bob Sherpa when he tripped over a cow pie and got a corn cob lodged in his ear. Sad. We buried him under some hay bales. Bubba Sherpa is inconsolable.
