Brown Mtn Saddle (the start of the Ken Burton trail). After about five weeks, these guys and a couple hundred mtn bikers were all I got. Not bad. But no lions..
I had a nice ride up the road this morning - cool and foggy. I'm new to biking, and the thought of pedaling up there again in first gear gasping for air and looking like a moron who might need training wheels was not very appealing, but it does get easier each time. The ride back is a blast. And now I have "runner's high", which I don't get from hiking anymore, so that's cool!
"MAN has been in the forest!"
