Scary.

Always a relief when birds are not involved, though:

Sheriff's officials could not give any information about the circumstances of the woman's death, but said the body showed "no obvious signs of fowl play."

I saw this about 10am as I was driving back down from my Mt. Deception hike. There were 2 police SUV vehicles with yellow tape between them that blocked off the entire turnout. A yellow tarp was covering something at the back of the turnout up against the brush. I think it was the turnout just above CCC ridge (which is at mile marker 30.7, about 6 miles from the 210 freeway - not 35 miles ).

Sadly, I saw this too, around 11:30. They didn't do a very good job with the tarp as we could see part of the woman's head as we drove by.
