Throop Peak

For some reason Caltrans repaired the closed section of Angels Crest Highway ( Hwy 2 ) and plows it months before opening. Decided to take advantage of the waste of tax payers money and bike to the base of Throop Peak with ski gear. The bike ride is about 5 miles and 1000 feet elevation gain at a constant grade.

There was a bit of wind most of the day and the snow didn't get soft until late afternoon, so only got one and a half runs.
