Mt Lowe 4-25-09

I had 4 hours to hike, so I used it to do Mt. Lowe from Lake Ave. I took the Sam Merrill trail to the East Mt- Lowe Trail and descended via the West Mt. Lowe Trail and the Castle Canyon Trial, before rejoining the Sam Merrill Treail at Echo Mountain. It was a beautiful day with 60s temperatures and locally clear skies (haze to the west).

Nice...4 hours. Heh. That hike took me over 5.5 hours, not including rest time. Gonna have to start putting manhole covers in your pack!
