Route:
http://www.summitpost.org/route/155834/north-ridge.html
Jon and I went up to Lone Pine to give this route a shot.
I have been sick for a few months now (similar to Giardia). Lots of other problems have led to me being out-of-shape and less than motivated, so I ended up having us turn back when we hit the bottom of the ridge.

Jon, and the North Ridge
I have to start training again. My knees have been giving me trouble (running), and my arm (Lightning Couloir) hurts when I climb or use it to any real capacity at times. Anyway.

Great place to recuperate!
I feel your pain. I was jumping rope two months ago, with poor technique, landed on my toes with my arms above my shoulders, and heard the loudest crack EVER from my spine
![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
I think I tore a ligament right where the lowest rightside rib attaches to the lowest thoracic vertebrae. I immediately dropped to my knees: didn't know if I was going to just fall on my face!
Everything seemed ok, but it wasn't! Two days later, I could hardly move. Two weeks of pure misery, followed by two weeks of semi-pure misery. I started being able to actually do things after a month, and now I have to build up some strength after the serious down time!
Hang in there, Grasshopper!

Who is this Jon and does he want to try LPP again? I'm pretty much dying to climb it. And soon.

It appears to be taking care of itself, thankfully. Still have a bit of tenderness, but nothing terrible. My jump rope lies in a forlorn heap on the floor, though!

I'd be terrified of jumping rope if that happened to me.

so that is why they blame climbers for killing birds. They are trying to close a local crag due to bird nesting.

Yeah, I didn't even notice this nest until we packed up and started to leave.
