I hit the trail up Bear Canyon at 0600 this morning. Things were uneventful until I passed the snowfield around 5.5 miles / 9443 feet. The winds were blowing so hard (and cold) that even with good footing, they blew me right over. This was enough of a hint for me to turn around. I saw another hiker proceed beyond this point as I woosed-out. Was it any of you guys/gals?
