I use a Garmin Etrex Vista cx, NG Topo and Mapsource TOPO. Ive downloaded tracks from the GPSr to both mapping programs, but how can I convert a track into a kmz file? And, do you have to be a dues paying member of GE to upload the track into GE? Thanx!

The following website can convert most common GPS files to KMZ.

http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/

Also, if you use Mapsource software, and have the latest version (which is free, go to help menu) you can also select "view" then "view in Google Earth..." and save in KMZ format.

And I am not sure about uploading tracks to GE. I don't think you need to pay, I setup a free acount and was able to upload my track, but it doesn't look like my track made it out to the Google Earth Community. If you figure out how to upload your tracks for everyone to see on GE please let me know,

thanks,
