Started at 7am at Icehouse Canyon Parking lot, I was the 1st to park there. It rained hard for 10 min then drizzle all the way till I reached the IHC saddle. Passed Kelly camp, there was a tent there. Did not want to disturb the solitude so I passed on to the summit. It was a little cold on the approach. Found the register in coffee container, but the pages were full.
Went back using the Chapman trail. It was nice and serene. Saw only one man going up.

It was a little wet but nice cool weather for a good workout. Here are some pics.

Wow, The clouds from the basin areas sure looked different than your photos show. In every direction was as clear as I've ever seen it even with the cloud formations. At least after 9 am and for the rest of the day. I was wishing I could have been up somewhere with my camera. What time did you get down?

My favorite hike. I think maybe I need to go up there again next week.

I got back at the IHC parking lot around 12:30.

@Siminov, I second that. Ontario peak trail and Kelly Camp is very nice. I envied the lone camper had the whole mountain for him/herself that rainy day.
