Just another run out before school.

Drove up, several government-operated vehicles pulled over and used turnouts like people should. SOme POV's (Privately Owned Vehicles) didn't use turnouts... hello???? Use friggin' turnouts. Went past when it was safe. USE FRIGGIN' TURNOUTS! I am faster than you.

Anyway. Neat weather, a bit too warm, but I like clouds. Scrambled up the approach to the saddle at the base of the south ridge. Same old crap. Got to the base of the little wall (30ft or whatever) on Burrito's ridge, and switched to rock shoes. Rain fell for a few minutes. Climbed up the wall. Didn't do the line I wanted, as the rock is really beatup. Traversed and looked at the south face, which drops into the river east of the West Fork bridge.

Up a bit, back down, back to the car. Flew down the road, which is fun as always. Slow traffic didn't use turnouts for a loooong distance. Passed. Followed downhill by an AE86 coupe. Real fun drive. Went to school. Ate. Here now.

This crag would be a nice drytooling practice crag. One can use their towhook off their car as a belay anchor. 8)

Ridge route pics. Really loose class 4 scramble. There are easier ways around it, for those who want to be bored.

Sweet pictures of the clouds! I love that kind of sky where the clouds are patchy but thick and dark. Sometimes the sun will shine through a pocket in the cloud layer and light up everything around you really brightly, but then then background is still dark and ominous.
