Only evidence that any1's been there, is these pics, purportin 2b from 1893. Surely, she's had customers, since then, but not evrything that's done, lands on social media, especially ifit predates the internet. Who knows what tales of wonder, are locked-away, in Granpa's attic?

Just wonderin if any1's been, or knows of some1 who has?

Just looked through the newspaper archives. Lots of old articles about fishing, potential dam construction, and rescues of hikers. The rescue victims maybe we hunting for waterfalls, but none of the articles I came across are specific about that.

I didn't realize the mountains north of San Diego south of San Gabriel Valley that aren't the San Jacintos get this rugged.

Thanks Sean! I've incorporated your recommendation into my literary repertoire and I gotta say people are loving it!

Ugh! What kind of fuckery is this?! My reply was supposed to be a run-on sentence, with no commas, and a lot of unnecessary spaces, but that site actually fixes it. Well? You'll have to take my word for it. It was going to be pretty hilarious!

Ranger Jessica and crew likely came down the maintained trail, coming down from the Jesus Camp.

Where did you find this little nugget of intel? AI drew a blank, even when searching for “Rainbow Falls.” I’ll continue calling it Slide Falls, as 1893 predates Ranger Jessica. Besides! I already call a falls in Agua Tibia Canyon “Rainbow Falls,” as its mist had a brilliant prism effect when I happened to lay eyes on it. I guess if CA State Parks remembered this one, they’d rename it “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” or whatever mouthful they believe the Kumeyaay people would have called it. ...

I have nothing to do with Palomar Mt though. Rainbow Falls was from the 'founder''s archive....and trying to promote the area for a hotel. Now that photo I saw was one of the most non-descript photos ...I would say it has Rainbow Falls as the first fall, from the CAParks? Horrible photo. Then I saw the CA Parks photo in the next search result and it was much clearer!
