Just out of curiosity if anyone is up to speed on the situation with the potential closure of middle fork road in Lytle creek. Believe it or not that road is actually on a long standing access grant that the current owner is trying to remove. He has already built a gate (with forest service Permission) and was thankfully ordered to leave it open (temporarily?). I understand the land owners very valid concerns but am very concerned for continued access to the middle fork hiking trails. If you are not aware of this situation please look into this as losing any access anywhere is a dangerous precedent!

First I've heard of it. Is this dispute happening in the public sphere? Is there a link to more information about the case?

Oh, is the road noise disturbing their religious rituals? I think historic access to the trailhead is more important.

Yeah, this guy is delusional...or the reporter is. The Middle Fork is not at risk...in that the property is off the road. The property has an address of North Fork Lytle and thats his real estate listing of $7 million. https://www.rdeskwebsite.com/homes-for- ... -348653042

But yeah, there is a county plan since awhile ago. I didnt see AI pagodas in it...ever. If the county would fund it, then the nuisances would be curtailed. Last year, they had a flood damage...not to mention earthquake and fire risk.

On page 5 there is the map...and its clear that the private roads dont mix with middle fork.

Sounds like the article is biased in favor of making the road private.

This properly covers most of the paved section of Middle Fork rd. Two more private parties own the parcels West of the one in the article.
