I wonder how accurate this reel is.
[Admin note: The FB reel starts focusing on CA-39 at the six-minute mark.]

FWIW I think FF Tokyo Drift was filmed on the San Gabriel Dam, or so I was told. I got to drive on the dam about ten years ago. Can’t remember who told me, might be a buddy of mine who helped provide some of the cars for the film.
Don’t know enough to say anything about the rest of the video. Considering the massive washout I’ve taken photos of, I doubt it’ll ever open at all. Would be very expensive, just to get it solid enough for emergency vehicles to use.

The Fall Guy series filmed several stunts at San Gabriel Dam. The intro to the series that showed a white car going over a cliff was filmed there. A stunt driver drives a car off the quarry cliff and is lifted out of the car just as it goes over the edge, by a helicopter. At 4:55 in the video below.
Not at all. But...it made a nifty moment for the ai...I replied to it "So California stopped repairing highways after 1978? "...its like turning the volume to 100 for the ai. It says that what most people wanted to hear, but OF COURSE NOT lol.
"The Project Development Team has identified Alternative 2: Evacuation Route (Minimal Build) as the preferred alternative for this project."
