I hadn't done any hiking for three weeks and too hot most places so I went to Frazier Park. Then I decided to try a challenge by going from the parking lot to Sawmill entirely off-trail. I basically just stuck to the same elevation so I moved laterally for most of the four miles. About 8.5 miles w/ 1400' gain.

Looks so nice. At this point I'm always surprised to see unburnt forest. Find anything more than prints?

Nope, just the prints, fresh air, and solitude.

It's just a big pile of rocks at the top of Sawmill Mt. It's nice up there.
