First time I've seen snow at Josephine Peak. It was a chilly 35-degrees and windy at the summit. I brought some hot apple cider to keep warm.
It was a another beautiful day well spent in the San Gabes.

I had estimated this week driving to work that the snow line was at about 5200' after this last storm. That seems to about check out with your photos?
The family and I went to Trail Canyon falls on Sunday, (we had never been), and were in T-shirts and shorts!

What a great time to visit! Were you wearing spikes?

Josephine peak is at 5500 feet. I could clearly see snow on San Gabriel and the adjacent peaks from my place.Nate U wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 1:42 pm I had estimated this week driving to work that the snow line was at about 5200' after this last storm. That seems to about check out with your photos?

Anyways, I love Trail Falls. Did you get a chance to walk further on top of it? Last time I was there, a couple years ago, I counted about 9+ stream crossings. Glad you finally had the chance to check it out. I am sure Liam had fun!
