Early Sunday hike. First a warmup to Monrovia Falls and then up Sawpit, via Overturff trail and back down the fire road. Amazing time to go there. Water and blooms everywhere. Lots of bees and bugs too. Trails in great condition mostly shaded. Deer Park is easily accessible and so are the cabin ruins. Also, some side trails leading here and there from the ruins. Will leave time to explore next time. Highlight was a fairly large Ursus arctos casually strolling down from Camp Trask to Saw Pit creek.

Bear sightings are probably the most reliable around Monrovia Falls. Always fun to see one.

Thanks for the report and pictures. I'm glad to see that area back in action after the fire.
