Mount Baldy closed until December 2025?

Rescues, fires, weather, roads, trails, water, etc.

I stumbled on this LA Times article with the news:

https://www.latimes.com/california/stor ... s-brewing

Sorry, it is paywalled. I couldn't read the article and I didn't find new closure information on ANF web site.

They’re closed because they “provide access to other trails that did burn,” she wrote.
So based on that logic, everything needs to be closed when a fire occurs as all the trails eventually connect. I would say PCT down in SoCal should close after a fire wrecks the trail up in Oregon. It is all nonsense, the trails in the Santa Monica Mtns. open up almost immediately after a fire, ANF stay closed for years. Also East Fork is open now, if you bungee-cord jump from the Bridge to Nowhere..

I think we should hike with no ID so there wouldn’t be any way to get a ticket.

Well, this popped up....
The story starts at 7:10-8:11.

I believed it....its an international destination.
Which Im not sure who was first...LA Times and Jack Dolan the mountaineer is a safe guess..but all legacy media circus is in on this.

Its like once there was some young people who got separated..and so you think you are talking about one thing...search..., and then a guy does a instagram.
He says 'I love this shot'. Im thinking hmm, yeah microspikes and you balanced yourself yogastyle on the tip of a rock overlooking a supersteep section of the bowl....such a disconnect.

Actually I was the person in the hoodie. I thought it would be funny to convince an old man to swan dive off the summit of Baldy. Not my proudest moment.
