Hi I’m new here. I don’t know how I found this forum but I am so excited to have found so many people in love with Los Padres. It’s truly magical. Since everyone here seems to deeply respect nature I thought I’d ask for some others favorites?
Mine would be Manzana both west and east (I need to explore this area more), Sespe River, the infinity cold pool I just found this weekend on the Cold Springs Trail, the dough flat area.
I’ve heard there are some majestic areas more towards Monterey, but have not checked them out
Favorite spots in Los Padres
Welcome to the forum! So far my favorite hikes in the Los Padres include Cobblestone Mountain and also the Dragon's Back. I've also done some neat scrambles in the canyons to giant pools and waterfalls, but I prefer peakbagging. I look forward to reading your trip reports.
Cobblestone
Chief Peak
Hines Peak
Cathedral Peak
Eagle Rest Peak
DO NOT RECOMMEND: Santa Paula Peak. The trail goes through private property and has been restricted for several years. The legal way now is through Santa Paula Canyon and is a total suffer fest. Unavoidable poodle dog near the top.

Sespe hot springs is great; I think I posted on the ascent up the mountain just north of it from the springs. Was a fun weekend.
I've been wanting to go down sespe canyon/narrows; I forgot the exact name, but sounds like a fun multiday trip that requires some dry bags
