Missing hiker (Gary Nuetzel)

Reported missing earlier this month, his car was found at Chantry yesterday.

Odd that no one noticed a car parked at Chantry for more than two weeks.

Sounds like he didn't tell anyone his plans and parked in a lot where people leave cars for extended periods of time.

Since we could be talking MtWilson(and beyond)..anyone know the status of the closed trails? MtZion, and upper BSA?

Nuetzel is an old(ish)-time Sierra Madre name. An area in the NE part of the city is known as the Nuetzel tract.
