I've been looking for these mountain goats since I moved to Colorado.
Finally found one. He found something he liked under my car. People passing by thought I ran him over.

No, they're actually pretty dangerous. They've killed grizzlies before. But they lick salt off the passing cars. This one was licking something on the undercarriage.

Those mountain goats are majestic!
I belong to the Colorado 14ers group on fcbk and they are always posting pics Of these beautiful creatures on the peaks
I hope to see one in person one day.
I've been to Colorado twice but no luck seeing one.
By the way can you drive up to Mt Evans?

That was the first one I've ever seen. They're not native to Colorado, but Mt. Evans is one of the best places to find them. 14 mile road, the highest in North America, you can drive all the way to the top.
