I like to explore the seldom visited front range of the San Gabes and ANF during the more hospitable winter months. This is a very local peak for me and it doesn't see many visitors. There is no summit register. The hike is only 5 miles round trip, and most of it is on a forest service road until you cut off for some minor ridge bushwhacking to reach the destination.

Oh I disagree. I did Limerock starting from little Tujunga, and then finished on Lopez Canyon Road. With the right weather conditions lovely hike! I'd say the only real drawback is you get to listen to gunfire the whole time...

Well I just hiked Linerock recently and found it to be quite nice. Lots of lush green hills and grass. Yes it was a bit overgrown but I loved it!
My kind of hike with steep sections. I really liked this one.
