Great idea, folks! I visited the creek on Saturday BEFORE the latest storm and it was raging. Smh.

Bloody dam keeper! It's all his fault for opening the valves during a big storm.

The dam operator phyiscally opens and closes outlet valves, but only when approved to so by the flood control operations center.

Many years ago someone at the dam in question cycled an outlet valve to impress some guests. Evidence of the short term flow was found on the many flow reordering stations all the way to the ocean, each one dutifully recorded the pulse of water. The responsible person suffered premature carrier realignment.
