4th of July hike. My son has never cared for fireworks. Too loud. So we enjoyed peace and quite.ImageImageImageImageImage

Nice stuff. The Arroyo Seco and that general vicinity has a special place in my heart. I've been hiking in around there since the 1960's. I really miss the easy access I had when I was living in La Crescenta, Tujunga, and Glendale. Quick hikes on a Sunday afternoon were a favorite. It's a little harder to put that together when one lives in the OC and it's an hour drive minimum one way.

I completely understand. I spent pretty much all my time in the Tujunga, Montrose area as a teenager. My best friend and family lived in Tunjunga. Their home was small but filled with much love. I have fond memories and so I take my son. The area always felt like home and still does to this day. Living in LA, you don't get to hear the crickets, see the stars, and oh the June bugs. When I need peace, I go.
