Taco, Sondra and I went up to climb Baldy Bowl on Saturday. It's nice, everything is pretty, and the conditions are good. Temps are relatively warm, so the snow is mostly soft and grippy. There's a hard crust in a few places. Some avy debris, but I didn't see any moving pinwheels. This place is POPULAR. Tons of people out, climbing, skiing, whatever.

The city was under clouds:

And then the bowl came into view

When you poke a hole in the snow, it has this cool blue color inside. I spent lots of time taking photos, and Taco made fun of me. I think it was worth it

The ol’ Eskimo hole trick.

I shall add photos and words soon. I must slumber and ride endlessly first in exchange for a meager sum of devalued currency.

I had to look at the full size picture to see if Sondra was also flipping the bird to show how much fun things were but it's hidden behind her back...
Not very many other people in the photos, I bet it was a zoo getting in and out.
