Triangular peak markers in the San Gabriels

Between Jupiter and Juno, nothing on the sign. Entire firebreak has been dozed recently.

Cool. I dont remember seeing a Triangilar marker when I hiked to those peaks.but who knows maybe I did. They are always cool to look at

We came from the south at Cow Canyon Saddle. The trail was in decent condition and my dad and I were able to follow it pretty much the entire way, although it is starting to get a bit overgrown. There were a few small patches of snow near the top too. I couldn't see anything from the top though, the fog was really bad.

On Miller Ranch Road, just east of where it intersects Miller Lateral Road. We walked through Webb Canyon up to Marshall Canyon this morning. Six miles of shady Live Oak trees and three miles of sunny Baseline Road.

Here are two triangular signs that you aren't going to see anywhere. I went hiking above the Leona Valley from San Francisquito Road high point. The two were interestingly 1/8 of a mile apart from each other. The first was about 20 yards off the trail in the brush. There is a fire break/motorcycle track that follows the ridge which has Burn and Granite BM on them. A subsidiary ridge heads out towards Leona Valley to Peak 4,470 and that was where these signs were.

I've been spending a lot of time in this area, mostly hiking the PCT. Beautiful area with low traffic! I was on the PCT near Burn yesterday.

Burn might be in this pic somewhere. It's facing N from the PCT so Burn might be on the left side.

Burn is right in the center and you are close to the ridge I took to those signs. In the distance, on the left is Grass.

I've never been on that trail. Looks nice. LPNF is always a nice escape from busy ANF.

These were found on Peak 6,178 just east of Pacifico Mountain. One was a victim of a recent fire break.

Bare Mountain Triangle sign collection (plus one rectangular) (2009-04-12). Seen on the way up from PCT to Bare...

And on the way down near the campground areas. Beware of Area 52!!!
