Hey guys! I've been looking for a specific tunnel for years in the foothills that was dug in the 1800s. The main goal was an irrigation tunnel for Pasadena's early ranches. My brother @1blazepatrick1 and I hiked the canyon and actually found what looked to be the tunnel high up on a cliff next to a dry waterfall. By the looks of it, it seemed way to dangerous to get to since all the rock below it was too loose.

Today, I flew my drone into the canyon to get a better look....

The map from 1888 says it's about 800ft deep! Is anyone interested in exploring it and possibly rigging webbing for safety?

Nice. I'm betting it's full of bats.

Sure, yeah. Why not. The photo above is a drone shot?

Yes! The tunnel is roughly 15 feet above the canyon bottom but it's up a very steep loose rock slope.
Heres a closer shot

Maybe you could carry a ladder and climb up.

You're not quite right, but shockingly close. I'll give you another guess.

Almost. This prospect goes back just a few feet. Whoever dug it lost interest quickly, and the hole tapers quickly. Not good for spelunking, but the bees like it:

There isn't a single bee around anymore (do they survive the winter?), but lots of honeycombs are still there. There're also some honeycomb chunks and bear poop at the bottom of the canyon.
