Where Am I? (All The Marbles Edition)
Okay, people, this game is for all the marbles, and by that I mean the winner earns this entire box of marbles.
#4reals
So if you've always wanted to play marbles on the summit of Mt. Baldy but could never afford to purchase some for yourself, this is your big chance to make that dream come true. You simply need to score the most points--then pick up your prize and hike to Baldy.
Here's how the game works. I will post selfies, and you will try to figure out where I am. To be clear, there are only two rules governing my photo selections.
1. Part of my body is visible in the picture.
2. I took the photo while somewhere in the San Gabriel Mountains.
There are two ways to score points.
1. Identify my physical location
Name a particular location in the Gabes, such as Mt. Baldy, Eaton Saddle, Monte Cristo Campground, etc. Try to be as specific as possible. If you think I'm on a trail/route, give the name and describe the section of the trail/route. For example, you could guess that I'm on the Gabrieleno Trail between Red Box and Switzers, or you could give lat/long coordinates if you want to be precise with your guess.
The first person to get within five miles of my location earns a point. The first person to get within one mile earns a point. And the first person to guess my exact location (within a half-mile if I'm on a trail/route) earns a point. So it's possible for three different people to earn a point on one clue. But it's also possible for one person to earn all three points with one precise guess, if they figure out my exact location before anyone else gets close.
2. Describe my mental state
Based on my selfie, describe where you think I was mentally while taking the picture. My favorite response for each clue will earn a point.
That's it. I will post selfies until someone has 100 points and thus wins all the marbles. Good luck, you're going to need it. I'll post the first clue tomorrow at 5 PM.

Why do I have to wait until 5pm?
My day starts at 4am.

I didn't say you had to wait until 5 PM. That's just when I'm posting the first clue. You could start guessing right now if you want, like HikeUp did.

I forgot to add your mental state in the first photo. I think you were imagining being at the beach soaking your feet In the cool ocean water lol
I doubt that's what was on my mind, but it should have been. One point for you.Girl Hiker wrote: ↑I think you were imagining being at the beach soaking your feet In the cool ocean water lol

State of mind- confused
Good guess but too far south. You get one point for being within a couple miles. I wasn't confused though.
Not the Chapman Trail, and you're too vague for a distance check. But you're getting warmer.Girl Hiker wrote: ↑Chapman trail going to Thunder Mountain
Another good guess but you're too far east and south. You do get one point, though, for nailing my mental state.
Hint: Best not to leave body parts on a trail, lest you be caught dumping them by hikers.
That looks like scree mountain, known for its awesome slides right off Thunder Mountain ridge. I once found a herd of bighorn bones in there, even the sheep sometimes make a slip on that slope. Your mental state was damn it I survived and those f***ing sheep didn't I must be the GOAT.
Close enough, you're within half a mile. I'm looking up the scree slope in Cedar Canyon, on the south side of Thunder Ridge. Two points for you. I was in that mental state while climbing other canyons, but not this one. I didn't find any sheep bones in Cedar.
