Google Earth Find -- Mines or otherwise?

Came across these on the north side of the San Gabes, Wrightwood/Big Rock Creek Vicinity:

Looks like fairly intact old mine structures, or fairly large cabin(s)? Definitely not in the usual hiking areas, perhaps a reason for the (at least from satelite) preservation. Anyone have more information on these? Couldn't find old mines listed here on my maps, but that doesn't rule it out!

I've checked the mrds and usmin but can't find any record of this place being a mine. Might be worth checking out in person!

These are just outside of the Forest Service land, so my guess it's some part of the ranch-looking-thing to the South. These buildings aren't there on the 1959 aerials, but do appear on the 1968 aerials, with a road from the South. Caltopo doesn't list the land to the South as being a private inholding. You should check the county assessor's maps to see what that land is.

Oh, and the buildings in the imagery are actually known to the assessor (and hence appear on the osm map). They are:

The assessor's IDs and the building IDs are there. I doubt these are mines. Are there cattle or horses up there?

Thanks all. Trying to use the HuntStand app to locate property info, seems to be one of the few areas where property data not available. It's a pretty large property chunk on the app (you can see land divisions) but owner isn't pulling up, governement or otherwise. There's a FS road just to the SE, hopefully has public access.

As an aside -- OnxHunt and Huntstand appshave transformed my hiking and outdoor adventures---you can pull up property data (usually!), including mailing addresses with just a tap. Much easier than browsing county property records.

Oh, very nice find. Kind of a disappointment but still intrigued. One listed as Industrial, one listed as Farm-Axillary.
