My Whitney dream is shattered. All forests are closed.
Damn fires ?

Look on the bright side! Once the transition into Hell is complete, maybe there will be some fun trailblazing opportunities in Fire & Brimstone National Park.

Your dream may just be postponed until another time, the mountain isn't going anywhere. And think of all the cool places you got to see while training!

Thanks for the positive thoughts. It just bums me out. But yes I did hike alot of new and beautiful places during my training. Once all these fires are out I'm going to continue training so that I will be more than ready for Whitney 2021.

Sad to hear that. I know you've been training for it. With a little luck, 2021 will be the year.
