Hey everyone,
I’m trying to find video editing tools that can make my editing process fast and simple. But there are so many options to try. Plus, most of them aren’t even free. So, can you guys suggest some suitable tools I can try out to edit my short and long-form videos?
Which video editing AI tool is the best?

Genuinely from someone who has tried 10+ “AI” video editors…there are none currently that are 10/10 or can fully automate even the very basic edits of a simple YouTube video.
Even the services which have transcriptions still fail to edit out bad takes, like they advertise.
Every single service seems to have the same price model. It’s always a tiered subscription ranging from $17-$100+/month. Where most of their features can be done with Davinci Resolve for free or even by paying a flat $200 (maybe $300 I forget the price of their paid version) fee.
The best tool I’ve seen so far has been Descript. Their voice cloning feature is the best I’ve found after testing literally over 10 other competitors.
I still wouldn’t say Descript is worth it for me, but I can see it being worth it for those who need a very specific feature or might not be used to the standard editing software like Premier or Resolve.
I bet this opinion will change within the next 6-12 months. I bet a lot of these apps will improve massively within a short time.
If you find any that are currently worthwhile, please let me know.

Try descript, it has a free trial. There are other similar tools out there. I think Premiere has some AI features also if you’re already using that.
just so you know “ai video editors” are really just regular video editors with a couple newer AI-like features such as transcription and image generation. Besides that they are the same as any other video editor.
