A fun midweek hike with the girls. We hiked to White Face Mountain in Simi Valley. A cool ass rock scramble to a really cool ass ridge.
The trail is only 1.8 miles to the summit but it is quite the workout! The views were gorgeous!
Heres a panoramic view of White Face Mountain. We started at the far left.

As you climb up along the spine of the ridge there are lots of fun scrambles, it's like a rollercoaster and some sections are steeper and more vertical than this one.

Finally made it to the top of the ridge.

Always time for a pose.

At the summit is a cool swing.

View from the summit was gorgeous! We beat the rain and had the trail all to ourselves.

The summit is great - love those Live Oak trees.

There's another ridge that circles around to the right side of the dog park. I came down that once. It's dangerously exposed.

Uncle Rico, I totally thought of you when I did this hike because this is your hood and I was wondering if you bagged this peak. Anyways, after we hiked down from the peak we did walk across by the dog park and start to climb the other ridge just for the fun of it but only hiked up to a certain point. You are right it is more exposed so I am glad that we didn't choose that route.

This is a racist mountain. As a white man, I demand an apology--and your immediate resignation.
