Sean deserves half the credit on this because he came up with the location. Silly bear knocked over the camera, but I hope we can get better video of the cub.

How did you decide on a spot? NOTE: I'm not fishing for your specific location. :)

I asked Sean and a few other people where they thought good front range locations were to find bears. Sean checked with other local hikers he knows and forest service volunteers. Ultimately, I relied on Sean to pick the first spot. We wandered off trail and found a small clearing with a watering hole (always good for animals).

Monrovia Canyon was one suggestion. I scouted Monrovia Falls and met a bear in the upper parking lot, so definitely bears there. High traffic area though. Some other suggestions:
Dark Canyon
Grizzly Flat road near Lukens
