On the second day in Utah, I checked out Balance Rock, the Windows (North & South), Turret Arch and Double Arch. Balance Rock was an easy stroll from the parking lot. The Windows was a farther drive but worth it. There was alot to explore in this area. This was an easy loop hike. The Double Arch trail was easily accessible by descending some stairs across a parking lot. It was the beginning of tourist season, so it was nearly impossible to get a solo picture under the Arches. However, I was able to do some exploring around the area, avoiding the crowds because I scrambled up some rocks and hiked areas that tourists were avoiding. This worked out perfect for me, but the only regret was not getting the cool solo shots that I wanted if my hiking buddies were with me.

It's too bad you couldn't get the cool solo shots you wanted. Perhaps some arch support would have helped?
