Q: "Hey, Mike, whatcha' been up to?"
A: "Oh, you know, the usual, Little Santa Anita, Denali. Nothing really."

Lol! Major congrats on Denali, bro, and thanks for the LSA update even if it isn't quite in the same category.

So LSA has been burned all around, and things are seriously dry inside. Nature will take its course though and things will be back to normal someday. Lots of slides, ash, and erosion taking place.

New life

Woke up at 4am after a night of watching and listening to the storm. Up the Lowe road and down West Muir Ravine. Looks as though nobody has been down in a while. Kind of like an intro to Death Valley canyon. We were happy to finally drop into Eaton and cool off. Beautiful day.

Great pics...thanks. Have you been down LSA before - if so, did the fire make it easier or harder?

Question: where did you car camp?! :)

Never been down before, I wish so bad that I'd done it before the fire. I'm sure its easier now with potholes filled, and more sun exposure and sediment soaking up the moisture.

I tried three different spots finally settling on a dark neighborhood with good views of the lightning. That was across the street from the Wilson road "shortcut" on Alta Dena. People like to party on Saturday night. Who knew?
